Clutterbutt Truisms

I read another decluttering book... this one is a little bit different:

It wasn't quite what I expected, not as much on decluttering as it was about being fat, and how the home environment impacts that. I have been blessed with the means to make healthy food choices (most of the time) for me and my family, so that didn't really resonate as deeply as it might have if I was uncomfortable with my weight. but there were a few "stuff-related" gems that I found very inspirational. Here is the "thirty seconds or less " excerpts that spoke to me the most:
  • Don't start with the "stuff", start with a clear idea of the life you want to be living!
  • Ask yourself "What is it I want from my life"?
  • Be mindful of what you bring into your life, is it worth the energy? Is it honouring your goals?
  • Do I honour and respect my space, my time and my body?
So, what do you think? Do you agree that a cluttered household can lead to a fat lifestyle? And that being overweight (and unhappy about it) can lead to gathering clutter?

I'm not sure I see a correlation, myself, but maybe that just means I need to read the book.
