Always nesting, my friends keep me young, my kids keep me on my toes, and my husband is my rock! Nature photography, parenting and a growing talent for decluttering are my focus here... Welcome!

We are still playing the real estate game and Life keeps on going...
Father's Day weekend we took in a nice little car show in Parksville. I love car shows. All the pretty colours, shiny chrome and exquisite details on those rolling pieces of art... they fill me with a happy feeling.
But the only thing that occupies our idle moments.... no one has bought our house yet.
We took a very sharp knife to our price this week (but it still hasn't shown up on the MLS dang it!) our home is now the least expensive in the neighbourhood... yes the reek of desperation is thick in the air around here.
We toyed with the idea of keeping the house and renting it out - only because for a moment that seemed like an easy solution to the time crunch. But after careful consideration by talking to the bank and adding up all the monthly expenses for having a rental and seeing what the rental market will bear and looking a the pros and cons of owning rental properties we decided it would be a whole lot of stress prolonged month to month with "potential" great gains or -just as likely- great losses. If we had no dependants and were feeling optomistic about people in general we may have tried it at least temporarily. Alas we have dependents and it would be very irresponsible of us to risk the very roof over our head on such expensive speculation.
As a result we just cut the price deep and are crossing our fingers for a speedy resolution to our anxiety.
