I had a roommate that had a pair of those. It was my duty to care for them when she was out of town for the weekend. One weekend, I discovered that one of them was dead. I fretted and fretted about how to tell her, only to find it out had already died the morning before she left.
She wasn't 100% sure, though, which is why she'd left it. Still, a heads-up would have been nice!
